Problem Note 62266: Worksheets do not always prompt users with the cell location of data errors
In SASĀ® Merchandise Planning, a worksheet seems to save and submit correctly, but after closing the worksheet and reopening it, values in working plan KPIs revert to unexpected values. No error occurs in the worksheet. However, an oracle error is generated in the peinst_######_####_pe.log for the affected worksheet similar to the one below:
The error is [SAS Ins. Inc.][ODBC 20101 driver][Oracle]ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allowed for this column
<LogMsg Type='Error' Uptime='25'>SQLERROR[1:[SAS Ins. Inc.][ODBC 20101 driver][Oracle]ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allowed for this column]<LogDetails File='ODBCRecordset.cpp' Line='1783' LocalTime='Thu May 10 09:56:50 2018' SystemTime='1525960610' /></LogMsg>
The application should display the cell location and specific KPI that has a value too large.
There are no workarounds for this issue.
